FSC tennis wins again

The Florida Southern College men's tennis team opened at home after spring break against Michigan Tech with a strong win. With season debuts in singles from freshmen J.J. Bolock, Brian DeMontfort, Clifford Johnson and sophomore Ray Duyungan as well as a doubles debut from junior Greg Heartt, FSC's men won the match 9-0. Their victory was in outstanding fashion with straight set wins from all six singles lines, three of those wins were 6-0, 6-0 wins by sophomore Ben Taylor, Bolock, and DeMontfort.

The next day, FSC won 8-1 against Limestone College. After these two well-played matches, the Mocs now stand at 7-2 and All-American junior Michael Knoedler's record stands at 7-1.

The team next plays March 24 at 3 pm against Mercy (N.Y.).
The Florida Southern College women's tennis team continued their winning trend by beating Limestone College. This 9-0 match put the team at a respectable 6-2 on the season. Sophomore Senka Softic led the charge, winning her match 6-0, 6-1, putting the No. 11 ranked female at an impressive 8-0 record on the season. The team had strong showings from everyone with an exciting line six match won in the third set tiebreaker by freshman Nora Baertschi.

FSC next plays March 25 at St. Leo.
