Recently, it has come to the attention of The Southern editorial staff that there is a division between Greeks and independents on the Florida Southern College Campus.

There are now more Greek Organizations than ever at FSC. Don't get us wrong, The Southern staff loves diversity and brotherhood and sisterhood as much as the next person, but we have started to notice divides.

I rarely ever take the time to think about the possible impressions my words could have. Ironic right?

After all my major (English) and minor (print journalism) are both centered around words and stories.

I was drawn to these concentrations in the first place because of the power of words.

In a recent interview, President Obama admitted his own unfamiliarity with H.R. 3200, or the health care bill. When asked if the bill would outlaw private insurance, Obama replied: "I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about." And how could he be? After all, the bill is 2,409 pages long.
